As she started walking she didn’t feel like answering his question, but supposed she could try. “No, not exactly. I‘ve said it once I‘ve said it a million times, no one listens, I‘m just the girl with lucky genes,” she paused for a moment, thinking of how to say it. “If there was something wrong then there isn‘t any point in questioning- or complaining, about what I can‘t change, yet anyways.” she smiled, Mina had every intention on shaking things up, she’d been quite successful raising a little hell and tricky situations in the past, but eventually she’d have to stick to a plan.
Mina rolled her eyes, easily stepping over the snow piles, “A stick up my ass?” she repeated, cautiously looking over at him. “A lot now that I‘m going to have to forget that phrase.” she said with a half smile. “Besides, I‘m actually not some little harpy girl, it‘s been a rough little while, or have you forgotten your dead king so quickly?” she said, regretting her words. “Never mind.” she didn’t want to make anyone feel guilty, but if she was a little bitchier than usual who could really blame her? …Maybe those on the receiving end of her rage, but she rarely considered that a just cause to stop.

"If there is one thing you can always change, its your mind," Dimitri told her. He knew that was right, she could say things would never change, but things wouldn't if she was always thinking the same thing without questioning it. "You need to live a little princess, do something that might give you regrets." He said. If she wasn't rethinking anything, she was hardly doing anything worth while.
"Yeah a stick up your ass," he said with a smirk. "You know, pissed off about nothing? You need to get out more, learn the lingo." he added. "Good thing I got plenty of money, i like company that laughs." He said. She was too serious, too angry.
"Look, I'm sorry about your father. But for me, he was nothing but a name, a face I was supposed to know. He was a hard ass, prison left more than a tattoo on me. I'm glad we have Brone as king." Brone could end this bloodshed. Dimitri'd run from the war, run right out of the army over that.

“Lingo is fine and all for those uneducated, and I‘m not some damsel held up in a cell in the big scary castle.” she said, waving her fingers a little before realizing how ridiculous it looked, she tucked them back into her pockets. “I am out plenty, I‘m out now.” she pointed out. Sure, Mina did lots, she drank, there were plenty of men to keep her amusement for a while, who was this guy anyways? She didn’t even know his name, and he knew hers, it seemed unfair. “You never told me your name!” she said, it sounded like an accusation.
Mina thought of smacking him, but he was probably stronger than her, being in the army at some point tended to have that sort of effect on ones strength, and she had no doubt he would later make fun of her for the attempt. Glaring she took a few stomps ahead of him in the snow, tossing her head back over her shoulder. “You know my father was more than just a name and face, and it‘s unfortunate that his rules didn‘t suit in your favour either. Guess that‘s just how it works, right?” she was really annoyed by him, and normally would have just stormed off or worse by now, but still, there was something there. That challenge, it was drawing her in even when she wanted to ignore it at all costs.

"You never told me who you are either," Dimitri replied. "Not my fault that I already knew." He said catching up with her easily. She was addicted to the fight, the challenge, and so was he. Maybe that made him insensitive, but she could take it. He could tell. "I'm Dimitri Cutter, Princess." he bowed his head again to her with a little smile.
"No be bitter princess, it doesnt become you. You'd be even prettier if you had a gentle and kind bone in you body, or at least pretended to." He told her as he caught up again. "You're father was only a king to me, not a father. Neither of us feel it the same way. So don't get mad at me because I don't think like you." He said in a serious voice.

“Everyone knows who I am though, why should I go around wasting my words on such a thing?” Mina had a pretty good feeling that even Brone would still feel obliged to introduce himself to everyone, but she and Brone were as different as night and day. She had a satisfied little smile when he bowed, though it wasn’t quite low enough, and she could tell he meant nothing by it, it still amused her.
“Kind and gentle bone in my body?” she said, looking at him as they got closer to the pub, and closer to her drink. “You mean I‘d be another white washed copy like everyone else? What‘s being nice, kind, and gentle ever gotten anyone? Hurt, maybe. And your not exactly the most docile creature I‘ve ever met either.” she said.
And then her father, she was sick of talking about it, that’s not what she came out to dwell on that night. “Let‘s leave the dead to rest, or is that too difficult for you to do?” she said, she really didn’t want to talk about her father, how she hated him and loved him all in his final moments. “Who said anything about being mad? A little touchy there aren‘t we?” she said teasing him once more, she could only imagine what he would be like when he wasn’t sober.

"Hey hey, I tease. I don't gripe that the world doesn't go my way." He said. "I'm only saying, people would like you more if you weren't so high and mighty." he continued. "You're lucky i like the agruementative type." he laughed, raising his eyebrows. Dimitri was pretty sure she'd never had to deal with someone like him, who wasn't anywhere close to royal, who wasn't giving in to her. Probably it was good for her.
"Hey you keep bringing him up. I'm all for letting the dead rest, nothing we can do to change what happened."
They reached the bar quickly, and for that he was glad. He couldn't wait to be enveloped by the familiar atmosphere. People would know him--he was well known around here--and they'd all know Mina. it was bound to be amusing. He grabbed the door and held it open. "After you princess."
