``hand in hand Alegria darted around the castle enjoying herself. She told the guards she was visiting her father. It was a lie but she was bored to no ennd. Having a little fun wouldn't kill anyone, and the Van Estra's considered Alegria apart of their family, so she was sure they wouldn't be upset. She ran out to the courtyard and sucked in the night air. Her lungs no longer took in the oxygen, but it still made a tingling sensation in her cold dead chest. She smiled and her eyes shot up to the star-filled sky. She then looked down and by instinct dipped the toe of her shoe in the little pond in front of her. The water rippled out, and Alegria grinned. It was her favorite sight as a vampire, the ripples on the water so fine detailed and beautiful. Ofcourse when she looked in the water, she saw no reflection, the only thing she missed. People always said she looked incoprehensibly beautiful, but she always wanted to see it for herself. No matter, her head turned towards the castle. By the look of where the stars were positioned, it was 9:30. Brone was late once again. She wondered if he even remembered that they were going to meet, then again vampires weren't ones to forget, their memories even more refined than normal. She sat in the grass and waited, her cream colored dress billowed out around her and her bronze curls rested gracefully on her shoulders.

Brone was preoccupied to say the least. Between helping his father command the army and his personal life, he was going to lose his mind. Not to mention Serena meant more to him every day, and his longing to see the witch princess grew. Life was just hard, and he almost forgot he had to meet the daughter of their family friends. Not that he had anything against the woman, she was three years older than him, but he was still crowned prince, and he was always told he was an old soul, he had never truly been a young man. His mother said he was born cold and old fashioned. Why then was he falling in love with a witch? Why was he not completely ignoring her? At least he had taken a wonderful vampiress to take care of him physically. Brone was lost in though that he almost passed the courtyard.
He turned quickly though, his cloak billowing behind him and he saw her figure sitting in the grass, light hair caught in the moonlight. "Good night Alegria" He said with a nod and a tiny smile. She would have heard him coming, so he had no element of surprise.

Alegria's head turned as she heard footsteps aproach. She saw Brone coming and smiled slightly. She could tell by his body language that he was stressed no doubt. Probably ranting in his mind again about his "duties". Alegria was glad she wasn't royalty, it seemed to...planned if you will. Too much work. Alegria preferred more to float with the breeze, let the wind carry her around, and life roll itself out in front of her without a care or worry. Alegria stood and did a sarcastic curtsey. Brone and Alegria were like brother and sister so there were really no need for formalities, but after all he WAS the "prince". She put on a smug smile, "Sorry to interrupt you from your day, but if you don't stop worrying about things your head is certain to explode, Your Higness" She really hoped he knew she was kidding, she liked to tease him sometimes, although he didn't look at all in that great of a mood.

"You can't be interrupting if our meeting was planned," Brone said with his eyebrows raised and a small smirk on his lips. "As for my head exploding, I think I have a bit more room before I get to that point." He said with a small deep laugh. Things could get much worse, this was the least of his worries. He was good at hiding his feelings, he always had. Of course, she'd been good at figuring him out. But she could know something was bugging him, she just couldn't know what.
He did not sit in the grass, but remained standing looking at the moon lightly. He loved the night sky. he really did. It was a beautiful light to live by, the sun seemed as if it would be too bright, too garish, too much.

Alegria smiled. Brone was always the logic one, never seemed too sarcastic in her eyes. She laughed and stood up to make things more equal. She was still shorter than him, which bugged her a little. Her hands brushed the water one more time then she straightened out, once again fascinated by the ripple. She turned to face him and jokingly punched him in the shoulder. "Why always so ancient sounding Brone? I'm supposed to be older than you and yet you speak as if you're wise beyond your kind. I have yet to figure that out about you, friend." She laughed softly, about equivilant to the tinkling of tiny bells. "Then again I suppose all you royalty are the same eh? You know I'd love to let lose right about now. Chase some rabitts, or maybe deer if we get lucky. " She was being slightly arrogant but she knew Brone wouldn't read too much into it, (or at least she hoped) beiing arrogant and sarcastic was Alegria's everyday attitude.

He laughed. "No, my brother never acts like he's grown up and my sister is too busy yelling most of the time. My mother told me I was born an old man. It is not my fault." He said with a smile. He knew he needed to loosen up, but he saved that for Alex, his best friend, and the bedroom. "So not only royalty is a factor here." There he was though, going on and on with logic. he was always like that.
"So we are hunting then?" he asked her at the mention of rabbits and dear, but he had more fun with bears. They would have to go to the forest for a bite to eat but they had some time. Brone looked down at her as he spoke, something was nice about being taller than some older than you.

Alegria smiled in an evil little way. "Ofcourse we're going hunting. I'm yearning for something especially good. I haven't been able to find any good catches, like bears or mountain lions, but who knows, the air seems particularily stagnant tonight don't you think?" She inhaled another lungfull of air. It hung with silence, no wind to interrupt her senses tonight. Indeed it was the perfect wether for a hunt. "I'll bet you anything we'll be lucky enough to catch something real good."

Brone laughed, his teeth gleaming in the moonlight. "Only one way to find out." But it was winter, they did not have a huge chance of finding something truly delicious. But worth a shot. "Come on then." He said walking toward the gates, they had to leave the palace to hunt. There was nothing here. Brone took off his cloak, it was only a hinderance in a battle and he handed it to one of the guards who took it without a word.
They sky was slightly cloudy, making dark patches on the landscape, Brone eyes were bright as he waited for Alegria to catch up with him, he needed a good chance. Hopefully they could find some deer, he was sick of rabbits.

Alegria grinned and plucked a fine long blade of grass and wrapped it around her hair, keeping the curls away from her face so she could concentrate. She flexed her hands twice, preparing for the run. It was always nice to disturb the quiet. She took a quick glance at her feet, and took off her boots swiftly. It was always better for Alegria to run barefoot, she was faster that way. Brone's strength just about matched Alegria's speed so they should be equal in the hunt, none too better than the other. She promised herself not to get too confident though, no telling what might happen on this cool night. She caught up to Brone in seconds and blew past him, laughing the whole time waiting for him to follow. Her eyes flashed a brilliant silver reflecting the moon's light. "Coming sire?" She teased back at him.

Brone did not reply verbally, he just nodded his head before taking off at a run, he knew she would slwo to match him. He was decently fast though, but he had more strength than her. He wondered fi she wanted to work as a team or just hunt side by side. Once the blood lust took over they wouldn't have time to plan. Part of him did not want to run into deers, since it made him think of the time he had almost killed Aarya, the look of horror on her face.... Brone shook his head and ran on into the forest.
The forest was always dark, blotting out the light of the moon, his keen sense made it easy though, he never hit a thing. Now all he needed was a smell. The scent of anything. He was in the mood for a bit of a chase though.

Alegria slowed a bit to match his tempo of speed, and went through the possibilities. "Where shold we start?" She asked him honestly. She hadn't been hunting on royal grounds in a long time - she wasn't quite sure what to expect. Her throat was parched, crawling for that warm heart beat, that flow of wet blood. She pressed on harder now, the thirst overcoming her physical abilities, although her mind continued to wander a bit.

"Anywhere, we just look for a scent." They were well into the forests now, the forests that most vampires shared, they might meet some of their won kind, but it was far too big a forest, it usually never happened. Brone felt the blood lust in his system, his eyes which were already a deep brown got a thin line of red around the iris. He was hungry.
Brone paused and sniffed the air, there were a few mingled scents there, he was having slight trouble picking them all apart. "Which one shall we follow?" He asked, figuring that was polite.

She sniffed the air with Brone, she could catch several different sweet and sour smells. A flock of geese, probably on the lake, a few rabbits, the sour smell of fish, and... "Got it!! There's a doe about 2 miles north. Smell it?" It was just barely riding on a small breeze. They were probably searching for a warm place to breed or sleep. No bucks that Alegria could smell, but deffinately a doe. Maybe even...a badger? She ignored that scent and focused more on the deer smell.

Brone focused his sense, and sure enough, there it was, a doe. But would she share it with him? it seemed she would since she pointed it out. He flexed his hands and lowered into a crouch, rocking on his feet preparing to run. "I smell it." It made him think too much about the witch, about love, about the last deer he had killed. He didn't want to, he wanted the animal inside him to take over his senses his body completely so he wouldn't have to think anymore. He could feel it creeping in his system, almost there.
"Let's go get it." She said, his voice slightly deeper than befoe--it always got deeper before a kill. Brone's eyes were slightly more red also and he took off at a run, she could catch up or pass him easily, she could follow the scent as well as he could.
